What Is Cardiomyopathy?

Cardiomyopathy is the leading cause of sudden cardiac arrest among children and teens with heart transplants. About 30,000 young people are living with cardiomyopathy, but it is an extremely variable condition, which makes gathering research on the disease paramount. To find out more about cardiomyopathy, WDET’s Anna Sysling recently spoke with Lisa Yue, the Founder, President and Executive Director of the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation.
