To Vaccinate Or Not To Vaccinate

Wednesday, February 4, 2015

Do parents have the right to make the call about whether or not to vaccinate their kids? Should there be more regulations around vaccinating kids? Should vaccination be a personal and family choice?

Co-hosts Stephen Henderson and Laura Weber-Davis discuss the impact of the anti-vaccination movement, reactions to the movement and take calls from Metro Detroiters on their thoughts.

Casey from Detroit says there is no clinical evidence that ties vaccines to autism, and she says she wonders why people still react so strongly against vaccines when young kids and the elderly are in harm's way.

Kevin in Auburn Hills says it's a liberty issue and parents should have the freedom to not vaccinate their children, but that schools should also have the freedom to not accept non-vaccinated students.

Rebecca in Bloomfield says she disallowed kids to attend her two-year-old’s birthday party because she knows that they do not vaccinate their children.
