Michigan Attorney General To Gay Marriage Newlyweds: "...It's As If The Marriages Never Existed"

Laura speaks with MPRN Capitol Bureau Chief Rick Pluta and LGBT Project Staff Attorney with the ACLU of Michigan Jay Kaplan about the latest developments in Michigan's stance on same-sex marriage. Attorney General Bill Schuette announced last week that the 300 gay marriages performed last March are not valid. In a court filing, Schuette says "...it's as if the legal premise upon which Plaintiff' marriages are based never existed. Consequently, from a legal standpoint, because the marriages rested soley on the district courts erroneous decision, which has now been reversed, it is as if the marriages never existed..."
