3 The Hard Way: Socially conscious Detroit rappers Invincible and Miz Korona are teaming-up with the Flint-based activist, vocalist and performance artist Tunde Olaniran to create what they’re dubbing a “live mixtape” at New Center Park. It’s a high-brow hip-hop party … with a message.

Dance with the STAR

WDET’s STAR program highlights arts-oriented non-profits who do important work on humble budgets. Dance Inc., provides formal dance instruction for school-aged girls from around the region. Roslyn English tells WDET’s Travis Wright she founded the organization with a couple of her classmates while studying dance at Michigan State University.
