Ten Detroit Men Win the BME Challenge

Craig speaks with three Detroit men who have been awarded funding to help them help their communities as part of the BME Challenge, a project of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Open Society Foundations' Campaign for Black Male Achievement

Ten Detroiters – teachers, businessmen, writers and pastors among them – have been named the 2012 winners of the BME Leadership Award, created to honor black men who step up to lead the community. Together these men are engaging and reshaping Detroit. With the award,the BME Challenge is providing funding to accelerate their work.
