A native Detroiter, Bill McGraw worked at the Detroit Free Press for 32 years as a city-desk reporter, sports writer, Canada correspondent, editor and columnist. He has been the editor of three books: “Great Pages in Michigan History,” “The Quotations of Mayor Coleman A. Young” and The Detroit Almanac.
