"The Music that Moved Generations" Concert Performers in-Studio

Tuesday, March 20, 2012

The protest song is a landmark of the political scene in America. From Woody Guthrie's "This Land is Your Land" to Bob Dylan's "Masters of War," music has often been an instrument of First Amendment-inspired demonstrations.

WDET's Amy Miller welcomes some of the musicians set to continue the tradition at the American Civil Liberties Union's upcoming "The Music that Moved Generations" concert. They include Reverend Robert Jones, Julie Beutel and Kate Monaghan. The event will be held at Detroit's First United Universalist Church, 4505 Cass Ave, on Saturday March 24th at 7:30p.m.
