The Craig Fahle Show

Reducing Violence and Eliminating Drugs

Detroit is still reeling from the weekend of August 12th when over a dozen shootings occurred in just 24 hours. Finding solutions to the violence requires considering alternative ways to approach it.

David Kennedy was raised in Detroit. Now he teaches at John Jay Criminal Justice College in NYC. His latest book Don't Shoot: One Man, A Street Fellowship, and the End of Violence in Inner-City America comes from his experience as co-chair of the National Network for Safe Communities. 50 communities across the country have adopted the approach developed by Kennedy and his associates.
