by: Travis Wright

February 28, 2014

With acts like Was Not Was and Eminem, the Oscar winning musician and composer Luis Resto has forged paths in multiple genres of music. A prolific composer, he consistently works with high caliber musicians to make music that moves people.

Resto's most recent project is inspired by his Puerto Rican heritage. The trio is rounded out by bassist Eduardo Cabarallo and percussionist Pepe Espinosa, featured on the cajon. They play on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the N'Namdi Gallery for Contemporary Art in Detroit's Midtown.

Here's a video from the trio in our studios.
