With Detroit's primary election quickly approaching, now is the perfect time to get the next generation of Detroit voters informed and excited about filling out a ballot. With the percentage of registered voters that actually show up to the polls dropping with each election, it's more important than ever to kids interested in their communities. Proliteracy Detroit's Margaret Williamson, Coordinator of WSU's Another Chance Program Alesia Williams, and Midtown Community Youth Athletic Association's Ray Smith talk to Craig about the importance of raising kids to be involved in their communities and voting.

Midtown Literacy Services offers a summer sports camp at Wayne State University's Mort Harris Recreation Center. The program begins July 27 and runs through September 7, 2013.
