Finding a Solution to Stray Dogs in Detroit

The city of Detroit has a surplus of abandoned buildings that have become the dwelling places for the cities nearly 50,000 stray dogs. The World Animal Awareness Society’s newest research initiative is called American Strays and will be conducted in Detroit. The American Strays team and volunteers will work together to track and count the stray dogs running around Detroit and attempt to find a solution to the growing population of stray dogs. Executive Director and Chairman of the Board World Animal Awareness Society, Tom McPhee, stops by to talk to Craig about the event taking place on September 20th and 21st.
