The Craig Fahle Show

With a Dismal Unemployment Rate, What Options Are There for Millennials?

Monday, Jan. 07, 2013

Craig talks with David Pasch, Director of Communications at Generation Opportunity, a national, non-partisan organization advocating for Millennials ages 18-29, and Chris Stark, Vice President of Kelly Services southeast Michigan territory, about the bleak job market for Millennials.

The unemployment rate for that age group (18-29) is 4 percent higher than the national average. Many are college educated but lack the experience companies say they are looking for. But how can anyone gain experience if they can't get a job? What needs to change?

Both Pasch and Stark talk with Craig about the problems facing Millennials and what they're doing to tackle them.

Listeners also called in with their job search stories and the problems they have faced along the way. Tell us your story in the comments.
