Troy Police Chief Works To Keep City Safe

Troy has repeatedly been named the safest city in Michigan. One of the men responsible for that honor is Police Chief Gary Mayer. Even though the department has suffered from budget cuts, the chief says support from the community and better use of data are making a difference when it comes to crimefighing. Mayer spoke to WDET’s Jerome Vaughn as part of our ongoing “Crossing The Lines” series.
