The Detroit Sound Conservancy is hosting an eventfocused on archiving Detroit’s musical heritage on Friday.

Founder Carleton Gholz says local and national journalists and scholars will address a musical lineage that spans multiple decades and genres at the Detroit Sound Conference.

Gholz tells WDET’s Travis Wrightthat one seminar examines Detroit music journalism.
