Election Day--Proposals Abound

May 8, 2012

Tuesday is Election Day across Metro Detroit. Voters will decide a handful of millage increases and bond requests in several communities and school districts. The polls will open at 7:00 am and close at 8:00 pm. Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson says May elections typically have low turnout, so she's encouraging residents to exercise their right to vote. She spoke with WDET's Pat Batcheller. Are you registered to vote? Do you know where your precinct is? If not, you can find out at the Secretary of State's Voter Information Center here
