Michigan's First Congressional District Still Undecided

Michigan Congressman Dan Benishek is claiming victory in his re-election bid, though his Democratic challenger says not all the votes are in yet. Unofficial results posted on the Secretary of State’s web site show Benishek with about 23-hundred more votes than Gary McDowell…who says he’s waiting for absentee, provisional, and military ballots to be counted and certified before he concedes. Benishek represents the northern half of the Lower Peninsula and the entire Upper Peninsula. WDET’s Pat Batcheller talked about the race with Peter Payette of Interlochen Public Radio.
