New Poll Shows More Support For Marriage Equality

A new public opinion poll says most Michigan residents now favor same-sex marriage. The Detroit News-Channel 4 survey of 600 registered voters says almost 57 percent support marriage equality, up from 44 percent a year ago. Richard Czuba of the Glengariff Group in Chicago conducted the survey. He says attitudes toward gay rights have shifted dramatically since Michigan voters banned gay marriage and civil unions in 2004. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
