Look Up! It's the Geminid Meteor Shower.

December 13, 2012

Look up at the sky Thursday and Friday nights, and chances are you’ll see a pretty cool show—the Geminid Meteor Shower is expected to reach its peak, and if the weather forecast holds, the sky should be relatively clear both nights. WDET's Pat Batcheller had a conversation with John Schror, the planetarium coordinator at the soon-to-open Michigan Science Center, formerly the Detroit Science Center. Pat asked him when’s the best time to see the meteors…and where to look for them. Click the audio link above to hear the conversation.

The Michigan Science Center opens on December 26th. Find more information about the center and the Geminid meteor shower here
