Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan helped cut the ribbon at the grand opening of a new restaurant in Northwest Detroit Monday morning. The Mayor was joined by Council President Brenda Jones and NFL retiree Ron Bartell, the owner of Kuzzo’s Chicken and Waffles.

Duggan says the restaurant is a great example of the many opportunities in Detroit.

“This is what we need. We need a lot of entrepreneurs opening companies. And I love it when its people are from the city opening a business in the city and employing people from the neighborhoods. This is a very strong neighborhood on this side of town and I know this restaurant will be a welcome edition.” Duggan says every time a local entrepreneur opens a business and hires Detroiters the city improves.

The restaurant is located on Livernois.
