After 43 years, the Detroit Opera House Gets a New Executive Director

After months of a national search, The Detroit Opera House, home to the Michigan Opera Theater, has hired Music expert Wayne Brown as the new Executive Director. Brown will take over for David Dichiera who led the company for the last forty years. Brown is the former Director of Music and opera for the national Endowment for the arts. The position is a homecoming for Brown. WDET's Martina Guzman attended the press conference. She spoke to All Things Considered Host, Travis Wright about the historic event.
