State Expands Autism Coverage

Some young children in with autism spectrum disorders now qualify for treatment through Medicaid. The Michigan Department of Community Health this week said children from ages 18 months to five years old are eligible for applied behavior analysis through Medicaid and the state's MI-Child program. Health Department spokesperson Angela Minicuci says the program will help hundreds of children with autism. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
