Wolverines Reportedly Set To Name Jim Harbaugh New Head Football Coach

December 29, 2014

The University of Michigan has reportedly reached a deal to sign former NFL Head Coach Jim Harbaugh. Harbaugh was tied to Michigan’s storied-but-struggling football program long before the university let go of former Head Coach Brady Hoke. He played quarterback for the Wolverines under the legendary Bo Schembechler and has been successful at every level he’s coached. The often-cantankerous Harbaugh took over a downtrodden San Francisco 49ers team four years ago and led the NFL franchise to three conference championship games and a narrow loss in the Super Bowl. But the magic ran out this year as Harbaugh reportedly – and repeatedly – clashed with the 49ers front office. In his most recent stint as a college coach, in 2010, Harbaugh took Stanford to a 12-and-one record and a win in the Orange Bowl.
