Obama Touts Detroit, US Economic Comeback

President Obama kicked-off a three day tour through several states with a stop at the Ford Assembly Plant in Wayne. And for the first time since Detroit emerged from the nation’s largest-ever municipal bankruptcy, the President discussed in detail his thoughts about the city’s exit from Chapter 9 protection.

But in many ways Detroit served as a backdrop for a larger message President Obama was delivering to the nation – and the now Republican-controlled Congress.
