Oakland Exec Fears Water Authority Could Fall Apart

Some of the officials who agreed to create a regional water authority in Metro Detroit as part of the city’s bankruptcy proceedings say they fear the deal could be close to falling apart.

The so-called Big Four officials in the region – the executives of Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties along with the Mayor of Detroit – held their first joint news conference of the year at Cobo Center.
