Michigan has become a major player in relations between the US and China. The Obama Administration recently pushed the World Trade Organization to penalize China for unfairly aiding its automakers competing against Detroit’s Big Three. At the same time Michigan Governor Rick Snyder traveled to China to tout investment opportunities.
