Judge Orders Duggan Off Mayoral Ballot

A Wayne County judge is ordering that Detroit mayoral candidate Mike Duggan’s name be removed from the primary ballot. The judge ruled Duggan had not lived in the city for a year before officially filing the petitions needed to run for mayor, as is required under the city’s charter. The Detroit Elections Commission had earlier ruled that Duggan should be allowed on the ballot. Activist Robert Davis and rival mayoral contender Tom Barrow had challenged Duggan’s candidacy in court. WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter talked with Barrow after the judge’s ruling…
