Detroit Grand Prix Welcomes New Races, State Oversight To Belle Isle

Belle Isle welcomes the top Indy 500-style cars and drivers this weekend for the latest edition of the Detroit Grand Prix. This year the island hosts seven different races including world-class sports car events, super truck competition and two grueling Indycar races held on consecutive days. It also marks the first Grand Prix held since Detroit entered bankruptcy and Belle Isle became a state park.
