Detroit Council Won't Force End To Consent Agreement Challenge

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing wants the Detroit City Council to pressure the city’s head attorney to withdraw legal action challenging the validity of a consent agreement with the state. If the action is not withdrawn Bing says the state will withhold millions of dollars – and the city will be broke by the end of this week.
