Windsor West MP on Parliament Hill Shooting

The city of Ottawa, Ontario has been under lockdown for most of Wednesday, after a gunman shot and killed a soldier at Canada’s National War Memorial near Parliament. Minutes later shots were fired in Parliament. Brian Masse is a Member of Parliament, representing Windsor-West. He was on his way to caucus when the shooting started. Masse spoke with WDET’s J. Carlisle Larsen about the incident.

UPDATE: Canadian officials have identified the soldier killed as Corporal Nathan Cirillo, 24, of Hamilton, Ontario.
