The Monday morning commute was a messy one, but road crews were ready for it, even if some drivers weren’t. The arrival of winter driving season means snow plows and salt trucks have to be ready for snow and ice, especially when it’s not in the forecast. Sudden squalls do happen, even during rush hours. WDET’s Pat Batcheller asked Craig Bryson of the Road Commission for Oakland County how quickly crews can respond when there’s an unexpected blast of snow.
