Honda In the Spotlight After It Fails to Report Accident Claims

Vehicle recalls have dominated the news this year as automakers such as General Motors are facing scrutiny for long standing safety issues. Now Honda—which has had a long standing reputation for vehicle safety—is in the spotlight for failing to report injuries or fatalities related to an airbag defect. Paul Eisenstein is the publisher of The Detroit Bureau. He tells WDET’s J. Carlisle Larsen, Honda could be violating the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation—or TREAD—act.
