Detroit is holding its annual Veterans’ Day Parade on Saturday morning. Organizers say they expect hundreds of former soldiers, sailors, airmen and women, and Marines to attend the event. Alan Opra is one of the parade’s organizers. He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn about how the parade has changed through the years.

The event begins Saturday at 9 a.m. with a ceremony at the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter Nine, on the corner of Woodward and Temple in Detroit. The parade begins at 10 a.m.
