Toledo Housing Non-Profit gets $775 Thousand Federal Grant

October 29, 2014

The Toledo Fair Housing Center will receive $775,000 in federal grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Human Services. The President and CEO of the non-profit tells the Toledo Blade the money comes from three separate grants. One helps fund the organization's discrimination investigations and field other complaints from residents. That $325,000 grant is a continuation of a previous federal grant. Two other awards help fund lending discrimination resources, and education and outreach to lenders and realtors about their obligations. The education grant also teaches the public about its fair housing rights.
