WDET is teaming up with the Detroit Free Press, Michigan Radio, and the Center for Michigan to hold a group of special community conversations in Detroit Thursday evening.

The events will give city residents a chance to talk about their neighborhoods, opportunities in Detroit, and the city’s future.

Amber DeLind is the Community Outreach Coordinator for the Center for Michigan. She spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.

Thursday evening's events will take place simultaneously at the Northeast Guidance Center, El Nacimiento Restaurant in Southwest Detroit, and the Northwest Activities Center. The conversations run from 6 to 8 p.m.

WDET’s Craig Fahle will moderate the discussion at the Northeast Guidance Center. You can RSVP by calling or texting 313-221-5552.
