September US Auto Sales Mixed

General Motors says US sales fell 11 percent in September, due mainly to a large drop in fleet sales. Ford and Chysler both reported higher sales for the month due to strong demand for pickup trucks and SUVs. Ford sales rose about six percent, while Chrysler sales were one percent higher than September 2012. Industry analysts expect a drop in total year-to-year sales in September.
