This year marks the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic. It’s also the 100th anniversary of what would become Tiger Stadium at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull. The team played there from 1912 through 1999. The team moved to Comerica Park in 2000, and the last remnants of the old ballpark were torn down a few years ago. Tom Stanton wrote a book on the final season of Tiger Stadium in 1999, and went to every home game that year. He shared his memories of the old ballpark with WDET's Pat Batcheller.
