Poll: Race Won't Sway Detroit Voters

Mike Duggan would be Detroit’s first white mayor in 40 years if he wins the November election. Roman Gribbs was the last. But a new poll suggests that race is not that important to most voters. That’s according to a Free Press/Channel 7 survey of 400 likely voters. EPIC-MRA conducted the poll. President Bernie Porn says more than 85 percent of the voters surveyed said race would not be a factor in their decision, regardless of which candidate they support.
