Art With A Heart

September 20, 2013

"We get between 80,000 and 100,000 fairgoers to the fall event every year. And I think that shows a real knowledge on the part of the community."

Max Clayton, director of the Birmingham Street Art Fair.

Art fills the streets of Birmingham this weekend. It’s the 39th annual street art fair to benefit Common Ground of Oakland County. Fair director Max Clayton tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller that Common Ground helps thousands of families in crisis. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.

The fair runs from 10 am until 6 pm on Saturday, and 10-5 on Sunday on Woodward Avenue between Maple and Frank.
