The Wayne County Prosecutor’s office announced criminal indictments against three former Wayne County officials over the failed jail project in downtown Detroit. Former Chief Financial Officer Carla Sledge and Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel Steven Collins face felony charges of Misconduct in Office. Both are also charged, along with former contractor—Anthony Parlovecchio —with Willful Neglect of Duty, a misdemeanor. Peter Henning is a Professor of Law at Wayne State University Law School.
