The Old Farmer's Almanac is forecasting a mild, wet winter for Metro Detroit, followed by a hot dry summer in 2014. America's oldest continuous publication hit newsstands on Wednesday. Sarah Perrault is the almanac's senior associate editor. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked her how the annual's staff is able to predict the weather a year from now.
