Detroit Holds "Water Fair" To Help Customers Catch Up On Bills

The City of Detroit is holding a special “Water Fair” at Cobo Center Saturday. The purpose of the event is to give city residents a chance to talk with representatives of the Water and Sewerage Department to make payment arrangements for overdue water bills.

Water shutoffs are scheduled to resume next week.

John Roach is the Director of Communications for the City of Detroit. He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn. Roach says describes the origin of the “Water Fair”.
