Metro Detroiters will have an opportunity to take part in a free health fair and community walk this weekend.

The “Man Up for Health” event takes place Saturday on the Northwest Campus of Wayne County Community College.

Mark Elzy is the Co-chair of Health and Wellness for “100 Black Men of Greater Detroit”. That’s the group organizing the event. He spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.

The “Man Up for Health” event takes place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday at the Northwest Campus of Wayne County Community College.

And by the way, Mark Elzy is the son of legendary Detroit broadcaster Gene Elzy.
