Tigers Seek Fewer Ups And Downs In Second Half

"One of the things I'd honestly like to see more of in the second half is maybe just a bit more consistency."

Grey Papke, managing editor of Walkoff Woodward, a Tigers fan blog.

The Tigers enter the second half of the baseball season in first place in the American League Central. The first half was a roller coaster ride for the team and its fans. Detroit started with a record of 27 wins and 12 losses, then won just nine of its next 29 games. Since then, the team has gone 17-6 and leads the division by six-and-a-half games over Kansas City. Grey Papke manages a fan blog called “Walkoff Woodward”. Papke tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller he’s surprised the Tigers have been so streaky this season.
