Paperwork Mixup Causes Overdue Tax Bill

A report in the Detroit News Tuesday says former Michigan Supreme Court Justice Conrad Mallett owes property taxes on a house he bought in Detroit two years ago. He purchased the home from the Reverend Jim Holley in 2012. But Mallett says the property tax transfer paperwork wasn’t filed with the city. He tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller that it was an unintentional oversight. Click on the audio link above to hear the conversation.
