More than 320 children in Michigan have been recovered in recent years through the state’s Amber Alert system. The Michigan State Police work with broadcasters and other organizations to release information to the public that could help officials recover abducted and endangered children. Ellen Davidson is the Board President of the Michigan Amber Alert Foundation. She spoke to WDET’s Jerome Vaughn about the importance of the system. Michigan Amber Alert Awareness Week runs through May 25th.
