E is for Ebron, The Lions' Top Draft Pick

The Detroit Lions defied experts who predicted they would choose a defensive player in the first round of the NFL Draft Thursday night. With the 10th pick, the team selected North Carolina tight end Eric Ebron. He caught 62 passes for the Tar Heels in 2013, and could be used as a wide receiver in the Lions' offense. WDET's Pat Batcheller asked WXYZ Sports Reporter David Solano why Detroit liked Ebron over defensive players who could have had an immediate impact.
