Wayne County Launches Pothole Blitz

March 12, 2014

"We've already started calling back previous seasonal employees to come in early to help address and patch the roads."

Cindy Dingell, Wayne County's Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

Wayne County road crews were out early Wednesday morning, ready to salt and plow after another big snowstorm. At least two inches of snow had already fallen at Metro Airport before sunrise. Cindy Dingell is the county's deputy chief operating officer. She tells WDET's Pat Batcheller that road crews had plenty of warning before the storm. Dingell also says the county is bringing in some extra help to patch potholes. Click on the audio links to hear the conversation.
