Councilman Tate Reacts To Governor's Declaration

Governor Rick Snyder announced Friday that a financial emergency exists in Detroit. The declaration paves the way for him to select an Emergency Financial Manager for the city. Mayor Bing and the City Council have 10 days to appeal Snyder’s decision.

Council member James Tate spoke with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn about his reaction to Snyder’s announcement and Council’s plans moving forward.
