This week, WDET takes a look at Lincoln Park. The downriver suburb boasts a rich cultural history. But in recent years, the city has been dealing with falling property values and rising deficits.

The state declared a financial emergency in Lincoln Park last year.

Turnaround expert Brad Coulter was brought into fix the problem. He now serves as Lincoln Park’s Emergency Manager. Coulter talked about the scope of the city’s problems, and its future, with WDET’s Jerome Vaughn.
