Friday, January 30, 2015

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for late Saturday night through late Sunday night for Wayne, Washtenaw, Lenawee, and Monroe Counties.

Moderate to occasionally heavy snow will begin late Saturday night and persist late into Sunday night.

NWS says accumulations greater than 6 inches are possible, with the potential for around 8 inches near the Ohio border.

Localized blowing and drifting snow are expected Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow accumulations that may impact travel.
